I already commented yesterday, but I think I forgot to put the verification word, so it didn't post (just complaining. They should give you the word as you are about to post, not after!)
Anyway, I really liked the "childish" way that the drawings were made (the use of stick figure and marker...) This does not always work, but in your case, I think it really added to the feeling of the clip. The idea of a girl being pulled up by a balloon and the balloon popping I thought was very humorous and cute, and it reminded me of the things that we would dream of as children. If it were drawn with a lot of detail and if it didn't have the use of bright color, I do not think that the book would have been as effective. For example, the look of surprise on her face when she was pulled into the sky was much more effective as a large, pink circle than it would have been in a detailed drawing of the mouth. I think the way the book was drawn really added to the story. The clip was very short, but sweet, which I also thought helped make it stronger. The quick transitions between the different "stages" of the story made it more humorous in the end. Finally, I thought the ending was awesome! It was surprising/unexpected to see a dark, "zombie" hand pull the girl into the ground. This offered a strong contrast to the mood of the rest of the story, which I thought was excellent. I really enjoyed this animation, and it is just as enjoyable watching it a second or third time!
I loved your storyline, I thought it was hilarious, very creative, and unexpected. The animation also flowed very smoothly and the way you drew it was very cute. The best part is when she gets grabbed down by the evil hand. :)
Great work Mandi. The video is great! and the actual book is even better. the book you choose was huge thou. still the entire story was well put together and the creativity was superb. just a great work
I loved how you simply used a stick figure animation but it had a storyline behind it with only 200 pages! It caught my attention and i had to watch this video more than once to capture all the details and keep my attention on one thing! Bravo :)
ahh my favorite one :) I loved that you used your book sideways and was so creative with your story. Your drawing was awesome too! I think you should make more and sell them :)
It's very whimsical and unassuming and I love that. I like that you used neon colors for the drawing itself instead of colorizing already penciled in drawings. Cute ideas!
I loved the story of the animation and it was very amusing

I really like story of the animation. It reminds me of a children's book by the colorful stick figures and the balloons.
